The Unfinished Essay: A Story of Perseverance
There was a girl in our School named Selina. She loved listening to stories but was afraid of writing her own. Every time she started writing, she stopped in the middle. She thought her words were not good enough.
One day, I gave the class an essay to write. Selina sat quietly, staring at the blank page. She held her pen but did not write anything. Her classmates were busy writing, but she was stuck.
I noticed her and walked to her desk. "Selina, why are you not writing?" I asked kindly.
Selina sighed and said, "I don't think my writing is good. I always get stuck."
I smiled and picked up a book. "Do you know how this book was written? The author started with just one sentence. They did not worry about making it perfect. They just finished it. Every great writer was once a beginner. The important thing is to keep going."
Selina looked at the book and thought for a moment. Then, she took a deep breath and started writing. Her words were not perfect, but she did not stop. Slowly, she filled the page with her thoughts.
As days passed, Selina practiced more and gained confidence. By the end of the year, she wrote a short story that was chosen for the school magazine. She could not believe it!
Selina's story teaches us that we should not be afraid to try. We all start as beginners, but with practice and courage, we can improve. The key is to never give up.
So, if you ever feel like stopping, remember Selina. Keep writing, keep learning, and never leave your story unfinished.
